Kingdom is Vijay Deverakonda's new film that needs to click at any cost, as he hasn't delivered a proper hit in the last four years. The action drama is all set to hit screens on July 31, 2025, on a grand scale, and the promotions are being carried out aggressively.

The makers recently released the much-awaited trailer, which looks intense, action-packed, and showcases Vijay Deverakonda in a fierce new avatar. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri opens the trailer with a voiceover, where Vijay, a cop, is asked to spy on a dreaded don in Sri Lanka. The scene then cuts to Sri Lanka, where an empire is run by a man named Shiva, and Vijay is tasked with monitoring him.

The twist in the tale is that Shiva is Vijay’s brother, which creates an intense emotional conflict. The scenes between Vijay Deverakonda and Satyadev look raw and powerful. The backdrop of the Sri Lankan civil war and the presence of gritty action sequences are among the highlights of the trailer.

One of the best aspects is Vijay Deverakonda’s new look and beefed-up body—he looks menacing and delivers a solid performance. More than anything, the trailer brims with strong emotions that have been portrayed exceptionally well. The production design, taut camerawork, and authentic setting make the visuals striking.

Gowtam Tinnanuri, who last directed Jersey, tries something new for the first time, and the trailer shows how he has taken things a notch higher in terms of grandeur and storytelling. There is no denying that Kingdom will be high on performances, as several seasoned actors play key roles.

Bhagyashree Borse plays the female lead and seems to have an important role. However, it’s the visuals and rustic action that take center stage. On top of this, the background score by Anirudh elevates the impact to another level.

Sithara Entertainments has produced the film and sold its OTT rights to Netflix for a whopping price. Vijay Deverakonda has worked extremely hard on the film and says that the unique and hard-hitting storytelling will surely impress audiences.

The trailer has received positive reactions, but it remains to be seen how the film performs when it hits the screens soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
