Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2 had earned Rs. 22.45 crore net at the Box Office. Despite being debated for sending a strong message across, Dhadak 2 did not perform at the Box Office, at least in comparison to Son of Sardaar 2. The movie, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, was estimated to have a budget of Rs. 60 crore.

Dhadak 2 is the story of a lower middle-class boy Nilesh, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi, who falls in love with an upper-caste girl, Vidhi (Triptii Dimri). The movie is the official Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film, Mari Selvaraj's Pariyerum Perumal (2018). Dhadak 2 is also the sequel to Homebound actors Ishaan Khatter-Janhvi Kapoor's 2018 film, Dhadak. The movie marked their debut in Bollywood. With their second movie together, Ishaan and Janhvi’s Homebound is now India’s official entry for Oscars 2026.
