The song Preet Re was written by Gurpreet Saini and features the vocals of Darshan Raval, Rochak Kohli, and Jonita Gandhi. The song's purpose is to appeal to listeners of all ages; thus, it uses simple lyrics and a calming tune.
Lyrics like "Dhadkan yeh hi kehti hai, dil mein tu hi rehti hai" capture the melody of a slow and subtle love awakening. The visuals are light and flirty, capturing the spontaneous moments between the characters played by Siddhant and Triptii—their glances, their feelings, and the beginnings of a connection.
Darshan Raval noted when discussing the song that Preet Re is not just a melody; it's a feeling. He said that it's a serene and lovely moment when you discover how much someone means to you, which is the subject of the song. The process of working on the song was unforgettable.
Along with Raval and Kohli, Jonita Gandhi contributes her voice to the song. She said that they have tried to bring alive the innocence of first love with this song. The ace singer prays the audience has the same emotional connection they had when they sang it.
Rochak Kohli stated that with Preet Re he wanted to blend simplicity with sincerity. This was his goal when creating the music for the song. He's ecstatic with the outcome; the song is a celebration of genuine, unforced love, much like first love.
Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh are producing Dhadak 2 with direction by Shazia Iqbal. August 1, 2025, will see the film's theatrical debut, under the banners of Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.
Continuing in the same vein as the original Dhadak the sequel seems to be forging its own path, with a focus on emotions, the support of music, and a new love partnership at the forefront. Fans of love stories and soul music can look forward to the film even more with the addition of Preet Re.
