Dheeran: Devadath Shaji's debut directorial gets a release date

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Dheeran, have dropped an update on its release date today (June 21). It has been confirmed that the movie will hit the big screen on July 4. The date was revealed through a video featuring the cast of the film. There are currently no other Malayalam films scheduled for release in July.

Posters of Dheeran hints at a comedy drama

The film's main actors are featured in the second poster, which was unveiled on May 31. Additionally, it has implied that the movie will be a July release as well as a laugh-riot with an amazing ensemble that can handle comedy easily. On March 6, the film's crew shared a humorous teaser featuring the actors.

In June 2024, the movie's title poster was unveiled by the makers announcing the project. The initial poster features Dheeran's main actors standing in front of an ambulance, four of them carrying a stretcher with a dead body wrapped in white cloth. In the upcoming days, further information, including a trailer, is anticipated.

Dheeran's cast and crew details

On January 11 of this year, the makers of the movie declared on social media that filming was complete, following a 60-day schedule. Devadath Shaji is directing Dheeran after co-writing Mammootty's popular action drama, Bheeshma Parvam. Additionally, he served as an assistant director for Kumbalangi Nights. Rajesh Madhavan plays a crucial part in this comedy drama. He most recently starred in Basil Joseph's Maranamass which is available for streaming on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV. Sudheesh, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Jagadish, Vineeth, Ashokan, Manoj K Jayan, and Siddharth Bharathan are among the rest of the cast of the film.

Under the Cheers Entertainments' banner, Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon have provided funding for the movie. This production business is well-known for making films like Jan.E.Man. Falimy, and Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. The soundtrack for the movie was composed by Kishkindha Kaandam fame Mujeeb Majeed. The son of acclaimed late filmmaker Lohithadas, Harikrishnan Lohithadas, is the cinematographer for Dheeran.
