Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has taken over the Bollywood digital space this Sunday after the much-anticipated teaser was unveiled. Even as Bollywood fans are going ga-ga over the film, viewers from South were quick to point out that the Ranveer Singh-starrer also features Sara Arjun. For the unversed, Sara, once a popular child artiste, played the much-adorable daughter in Vikram’s Deiva Thirumagal and the spirited girl in Annmariya Kalippilaanu.

Dhurandhar is an upcoming Hindi film, touted to be a spy movie, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead. The teaser or the first look of the film, helmed by Adithya Dhar, was released on the afternoon of July 6. The 2.39-minute video features a rugged Ranveer Singh, but what caught the attention of south cinephiles is the presence of Sara Arjun. Her character is shown sharing a close bond with that of Ranveer's in the short glimpse released earlier in the day.

The teaser also features rap by Hanumankind, the Malayali-origin rapper, who made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Rifle Club in 2024.

Sara Arjun’s noted Tamil, Malayalam films

For the unversed, Sara was a notable child artiste in several films in the last decade. One of her best known roles as a child artiste is from the Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, starring Vikram. Another pivotal role of Sara was in Saivam, another Tamil movie. She was recently seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2. Sara has won positive feedback for her performances in these films with Deiva Thirumagal securing a special place among the fans.

On the other hand, she also played the titular role of Annmariya in the Malayalam film Annmariya Kalippilaanu. The film features Sunny Wayne in a key role along with Aju Varghese. Notably, the Malayalam film features Dulquer Salmaan in a cameo appearance. Dhurandhar is all set to release in theatres on December 5, 2025, the latest teaser has confirmed. Apart from Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal.
