Good Wife is an upcoming Tamil web series which will be headlined by actor Priyamani, who was recently seen in Malayalam film Officer on Duty. The web series is set to premiere on JioHotstar, with the streamer announcing that it will release on July 4. A teaser of sorts was also released.

With Tamil entertainment sphere yet to fully take on and explore the OTT and long-format space, a new web series is in the making. Titled Good Wife and starring Priyamani in the lead role JioHotstar announced that the series will premiere on July 4.

The upcoming series is directed by actor-filmmaker Revathy and will available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages. The series which will be a combination of courtroom proceedings and family drama, is an adaptation of the American legal political drama The Good Wife. It was made in different languages, including in Hindi which starred Kajol and titled The Trial.

Good Wife glimpse out:

The teaser shows a tension between a high-profile couple, with the husband being caught in a scandal. Meanwhile, we see the wife striving hard to get into a law firm to become a lawyer. We see the teaser showing the wife going through a turmoil of emotions as the family's court proceedings also take place.

Sampath Raj, Aari Arjun and others are also part of the cast. Filmmaker Halitha Shameem has written the Tamil adaptation. "Brought in new cases, infused new ideas for the show which explores the intricate dynamics between India's judiciary and politics, all through the lens of a strong woman," she said about the series.

Meanwhile, Priyamani is also part of the much-awaited Tamil film Jana Nayagan, headlined by actor Vijay. The film will release on January 9, 2026, and is directed by H Vinoth. It is touted to be a remake of Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari.
