Dulquer Salmaan on privileged family, nepo kid tag

Nepokids have been at the centre of much debates in Bollywood, while the south film industry also has its fair share of star kids but has not been much of a hot topic of discussion. During a recent interview with Behindwoods, Dulquer discussed the pros and cons of being Mammootty’s son.

"It is definitely an advantage. I do not think it is fair to ever say it is a disadvantage. Sometimes, we might feel a little targeted or something. But I think anyone who reaches a certain level of fame or success will become targeted. I do not think we should say it is a struggle or a disadvantage,” he clarified.

Dulquer was joined by Telugu star Rana Daggubati, also the son of film producer Suresh Babu, who quipped that failure is not an option for them. But the Baahubali actor too said that it is advantageous to come from a privileged family. For the unversed, Rana is the nephew of popular Telugu actor Venkatesh and grandson of the legendary producer D Ramanaidu.

Rana is co-producing Kaantha with DQ, and also appears as Inspector Devaraj in the film.
