The 2025 Malayalam movie Kalamkaval collected only Rs 0.65 crore on day 12 at the box office. This is the second consecutive day that the film has scored below Rs 1 crore. The thriller has made Rs 33.60 crore at the India Malayalam net collections. The total worldwide collections of Kalamkaval stand at Rs 75.6 crore. Starring Mammootty and Vinayakan as a serial killer and a cop, the film opened to mixed reviews from critics on December 5, 2025, but has been winning appreciation from audiences, especially for the megastar’s villainous avatar.

But the downward trend in box office collections do not give a positive vibe for the film, as it is set to complete its second week at the box office. Kalamkaval has only December 17, its second Wednesday, for its free rein at the box office with Dileep’s movie Bha Bha Ba set to hit the cinemas on December 18, 2025. Though the upcoming film has been garnering mixed feedback, Bha Bha Ba is sure to pose a challenge to the Mammootty-starrer. Superstar Mohanlal also appears in Bha Bha Ba, another factor that is being discussed on social media after Dileep’s acquittal in the sensational actress assault case that rocked Kerala.

On the other hand, Mammootty’s movie Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse is set to make its long-delayed OTT debut on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium on December 19, 2025.
