Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, is winning praise from various quarters. Not just the lead heroine Kalyani, producer Dulquer Salmaan is also winning appreciation for backing a woman-led superhero film. However, a certain section of the audiences feel that Dulquer as a producer is not worthy of all the accolades coming his way and rather it is the team of Lokah, from director Dominic to co-writer Santhy Balachandran and the actors, who deserve more credit. But now Kalyani has come forward supporting Lokah producer Dulquer Salmaan, saying that he did so much more than just back it.

Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, which is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, has already minted twice the amount as it reigns over the box office. As Dulquer is being appreciated for backing such a woman-led movie, the naysayers are of the opinion that it is not the producer who deserves to win accolades. But Lokah's leading star Kalyani Priyadarshan on social media has said that Lokah would not have happened without him.

"I promise you DQ did so much more than just back it. He saw something in us that others didn't. He pushed and motivated every single person to give their best. And this film would not have happened without him... really," she wrote on social media. Kalyani and Dulquer had earlier starred together in the Malayalam film Varane Avashyamund

Notably, film’s cinematographer Nimish Ravi had also recounted in a Cue Studio interview that when he and director Dominic Arun approached Dulquer for the film, DQ urged them to come up with a full picture which eventually led to the formation of the film franchise.

After Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra became a success, its producer Dulquer Salmaan had credited the team for all the good work, saying that he was ‘just a lucky producer’. During a special show held in Abu Dhabi, Dulquer had said that they had started off with a small dream, and was overwhelmed by the responses he was witnessing.
