The 12th season of Celebrity Cricket League has been announced by Kiccha Sudeep’s Karnataka Bulldozers. According to a recent social media post on the team’s official handle, CCL Season 12 will be held in November, about 9 months after the last. An exact start date or tentative schedule is not available yet, but going by previous seasons, there will be at least 4 weekends of action-packed cricketing action featuring 7 teams.

Kiccha Sudeep's packed schedule - films, BBK and CCL

As soon as the Karnataka Bulldozers’ post came up, fans were surprised at a second season in 2025 and were quick to note just how much Kiccha Sudeep has piled on his plate. The Kannada superstar is currently in the midst of hectic schedules for his next, Mark, with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa, which he is aiming to complete principal photography by the end of October for its Christmas 2025 release. He’s also starting the 12th Season of Bigg Boss Kannada on September 28, which, with its 100-odd days duration, will run into the first week of January 2026 at least.

In November, Sudeep will have to work on Mark’s post-production, BBK12’s weekend episodes and CCL Season 12. And if the makers of Billa Ranga Baashaa decide to resume their shoot, which was pushed ahead to accommodate Mark, he will have that to contend with as well, unless, of course, director Anup Bhandari, who played CCL 11, plays for the Bulldozers again along with Sudeep.

Reacting to the Bulldozers’ post, fans urged the team to pull up their socks, play well and not choke in the end stages of the tournament. The Karnataka team has played the most semis and finals in the tournament, but won only twice. Last year, they fell to the Chennai Rhinos in the semi-final after dominating performances throughout the group stages.
