Now, Mohanlal’s photos and videos from the location have become the talk of the town among cinephiles, who are comparing it with his vintage roles in iconic 1990s movies. Not just fans, actor Aju Varghese also recalled the superstar's powerful roles from the 90s era that continue to be popular.

What’s the update on Mohanlal’s L366

L366 reunites Mohanlal with his Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy, who won much love from fans for bringing back the vintage Lalettan on screen. Looks like their next collaboration is also on similar lines, as fans are excited to see the latest photo of Mohanlal. The superstar is seen dressed in a simple, common man look with a grey-coloured shirt and a white mundu. Fans are saying that the latest picture reminded them of Mohanlal's roles, such as Mangalassery Neelakandan in Devasuram, helmed by IV Sasi, or the characters played in director Shaji Kailas movies, such as Araam Thampuran and Narasimham.

In both these movies, Mohanlal had played feudal lord-like characters, towering over the villagers with his power and aura.

Mohanlal’s upcoming movie L366 features him in the role of a cop, SI Lovelajan. The Tharun Moorthy directorial also reunites him with actress Meera Jasmine after more than a decade. Her character is named Nancy. Mohanlal and Meera have starred in several popular movies from the 2000s, such as Rasathanthram. More details of the plot are not known but since it marks the reunion of Thudarum director-actor, fans are convinced that L366 will be a worthy movie.

On the other hand, Mohanlal’s big upcoming release is Drishyam 3. Helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the much-anticipated movie will hit theatres on April 2. The superstar also has another release next month, Patriot, which stars Mammootty in the lead role.
