As the title suggests, the movie which features Alexander Prashanth, Jagadish, Darshana Rajendran, and others in the pivotal roles, revolves around the incidents that follow after the police retrieves the dead body of a man. Bhoothakaalam

The psychological horror film is the second Rahul Sadasivan directorial on this list. Bhoothakaalam, which marked the filmmaker’s comeback to the film industry after a very long gap, featured senior actress Revathy and Shane Nigam in the lead roles. This is one of those very rare Malayalam horror films that stayed away from all conventional tropes of the genre and still emerged as a wholesome experience.
