Valiant One

This action thriller released in theatres in January, and is now streaming online. The film focuses on an US Army helicopter crew that goes on a routine mission near the Korean Demilitarized Zone, but horrifically crashes into North Korean territory. Valiant One explores the struggles of leadership, the ordeal of the soldiers and the harsh realities of military personnel in conflict zones.

Citizen of a Kind

This Korean film was released in 2024, and recently dropped on JioHotstar. In this crime thriller drama, a laundromat owner becomes a victim of a voice phishing scam and loses a significant amount of money. Determined to recover her losses, she goes on an international mission with her friend to track down the perpetrators. Citizen of a Kind is based on the true story of Kim Seong-ja from South Korea in 2016, who successfully caught the criminals.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3

The third season of the sci-fi English series dropped on July 18, with weekly episodes. The original cast returns for Season 3 of Star Trek, which follows Captain Christopher Pike and the USS Enterprise crew's journey through space on a high-stakes mission, encountering new and unknown worlds. This English horror thriller was released in 2024, and made its digital debut recently on JioHotstar. The film follows a 12-year-old girl who adopts a mysterious spider as a pet. But it rapidly grows into a giant flesh-eating monster, terrorising her family and neighbours. Sting revolves around family drama, loneliness in childhood, and its consequences.

This English short documentary, with a 44-minute duration, follows BAFTA-winning filmmaker Bertie Gregory's adventurous journey to South Africa to capture the great white sharks in their natural habitat. By immersing himself in their world, Bertie brings viewers attention to the many challenges that these predators face in the deep blue waters.
