Lokah box office collection day 14: Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role of a superhero, Lokah has become the first woman-led Malayalam film to cross the prestigious Rs 200-crore mark. The Dominic Arun directorial, Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra, continues to perform well at the box office. Lokah looks strong and unstoppable going into its third weekend.

Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra raked in Rs 3.51 crore in India net collections on its day 14 at the box office, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film, which also stars Naslen along with Kalyani, is inching closer to Rs 100 crore just from domestic collections. The India net collections are at Rs 97.02 crore. On the other hand, Lokah recently breached the coveted Rs 200 crore mark globally. The worldwide collection of Lokah now stands at Rs 203.25 crore, a phenomenal achievement for a woman-led movie. Considering that there are no major Malayalam releases coming up, Lokah is expected to have a free run at the cinemas.

Lokah has also emerged to be the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film, and is just behind Mohanlal’s Thudarum and Manjummel Boys. L2 Empuraan tops the list with a whopping Rs 266.81 crore, according to Sacnilk.

The bulk of Lokah’s earnings come from the original Malayalam version, as expected. The Malayalam net box office collection is at Rs 75.2 crore. This is followed by the Telugu version with Rs 11.81 crore, and Tamil Lokah with Rs 8.25 crore. Only the Hindi version of Lokah is lagging behind with just Rs 1.75 crore.

Apart from Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, Lokah also features Sandy Master, Chandu Salimkumar and Arun Kurian in other key roles. The film features several star cameos with the likes of Dulquer Salmaan, who has also produced the film, and Tovino Thomas. Santhy Balachandran has co-written the script.
