Tovino Thomas' latest film, Narivetta, garnered huge praise following its OTT debut on Sony LIV via OTTplay Premium after a successful theatre run of over 40 days. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that its director and writer, Anuraj Manohar and Abin Joseph, are reuniting for their next project, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.

Given that both Anuraj and Abin are renowned for their works that tackle raw themes of political elements and social reality, there is a lot of excitement and anticipation for this project. In the upcoming days, further information about the untitled movie is expected to be revealed.

Anuraj's another directorial is Shekhara Varma Rajavu, starring Nivin Pauly, which was announced long back. He made his directorial debut with Shane Nigam-starrer Ishq, which is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and original Malayalam versions of this Tovino Thomas-starrer police drama were made available for streaming on Sony LIV on July 11. The film's ability to capture a community's fierce resistance against systemic oppression won accolades from viewers. The movie, which was inspired by the Muthanga tribal movement, successfully emerged as a box office hit.

Narivetta is a compelling socio-political drama with a compelling plot that was propelled by poignant performances. The main character of the movie is Varghese, an unmotivated youngster who is compelled to take a job as a police officer. He and his team are assigned to Wayanad as part of his first mission, where Adivasis are occupying a portion of the forest in protest of the State government's delayed land distribution.
