Mammootty makes full recovery, set to resume acting with Mohanlal in Patriot soon, say close aides

Much to the excitement of Mammootty fans, several Malayalam film personalities and close aides of the megastar have shared on social media that he has recovered and that he will be in action soon.

Malayalam megastar Mammootty has been away from the limelight for the past many months, with rumours about his ill health doing the rounds. Now, much to the excitement of his fans, several noted film personalities and close aides of the megastar have shared on social media that Mammootty has recovered and that he will be in action soon. Once he is back, Mammootty is expected to resume work on his pending projects of Patriot, also starring Mohanlal, and Kalamkaval.

‘Mammootty fully recovered’

Noted Malayalam film producer Anto Joseph, considered close to the megastar, was the first to post that the prayers had been finally answered and profusely thanked God. Though he did not mention Mammootty, it is clear that he meant the megastar.

Soon after Mammootty’s close aide George S also posted a picture of the megastar, thanking everyone who supported and prayed for his recovery.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who will be starring with Mammootty in Patriot, also took to social media and shared a candid pic of the two along with a heart emoji.

Noted film director Siby Malayail and filmmaker Ratheena PT, who directed him in the film Puzhu, also shared photos with the megastar with Ratheena saying ‘Double Ok’.

Senior actress Maala Parvathi too took to Facebook page to comment "There is no greater news than this. Mammookka has completely recovered," she wrote, while thanking the doctors and all those who treated him.

Mammootty’s health concerns

Mammootty, the veteran Malayalam star, has been away for treatment for the past many months. He is rumoured to have been in treatment for cancer, though his team had denied this.

Now that the film personalities have confirmed that Mammootty will be back in action, he will be resuming his shoot for Patriot, helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, in September. Another upcoming film of the actor, scheduled to release soon, is Kalamkaval. Once he is back, Mammootty is expected to complete dubbing for the film.
