Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph helmed Mirage before stepping back into the world of Drishyam with its third installment. Starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, Mirage was slated to hit SonyLiv (OTTplay Premium) on October 20, 2025. But the platform has dropped an update that the Jeethu Joseph thriller would arrive a day early on October 19, 2025.

Where to watch Mirage on OTT

Mirage is a 2025 Malayalam film which was released in theatres on September 19. The thriller film, led by Asif Ali along with Aparna Balamurali, will now drop on SonyLiv on October 19, exactly a month after its theatrical release. OTTplay Premium subscribers will also be able to stream the Malayalam film in as many as seven languages. Apart from the original Malayalam, you can also watch the film in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali.

What’s Mirage all about?

The thriller film revolves around Abhirami who is startled after her fiancé Kiran vanishes and is believed to have died. Not just the emotional turmoil, Abhirami is pulled into a web of mystery as people seek her out looking for a crucial hard disk. What is significance about the hard disk and what really happened to Kiran? The film seeks to find answers to these questions as an online journalist too joins Abhirami in her quest.

Actress Aparna Balamurali plays Abhirami, while Asif Ali appears as the journalist. Hakim Shahjahan is seen as Kiran, along with Hannah Reji Koshy and Deepak Parambol.

Despite being crafted by one of the top directors of today’s times, Mirage failed to live up to expectations and had a forgettable run at the box office. However, Mirage is expected to garner more traction once it makes its OTT debut, given that it is helmed by Jeethu Joseph and has noted names such as Asif Ali. Not just Mirage, other Malayalam movies are also releasing for Diwali 2025 such as Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali on Zee5 (OTTplay Premium)
