Vrusshabha: Mohanlal shared the update on social media, but fans were quick to point out that the Pan-Indian film is releasing in four languages, but not in Tamil and Kannada

After revealing the first look of Malayalam actor Mohanlal as a fierce warrior in Vrusshabha earlier this year, the makers of the upcoming film are set to give viewers a peek into its world. Mohanlal himself shared the update on social media, but fans were quick to point out that the Pan-Indian film is releasing in four languages, but not in Tamil and Kannada. Vrusshabha, helmed by Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore, is slated to release in October 2025.

Mohanlal took to social media on Monday to announce that a glimpse from his upcoming pan-Indian film Vrusshabha would be released on September 16 (Tuesday). He also shared a poster of a sword which had a trishul at the handle, proclaiming that ‘the wait ends, the roar begins tomorrow’
“Get ready to step into the world of Vrusshabha,” he wrote in caption, while also mentioning that the film will be releasing in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and English.
However, this detail has not gone down well with some netizens who questioned why the film is not releasing in Tamil and Kannada.
“Film from a Kannada director and not releasing in Kannada!!” reads one comment on X (formerly Twitter).
On the other hand, several fans enthusiastically reacted to the Vrusshabha update, by dropping fire and heart emojis in the comment section. Many fans also conveyed their best wishes.
Earlier, Mohanlal’s first-look from the film was released on May 21, 2025, his birthday but that had evoked mixed reactions. It remains to be seen if the makers can impress with the Vrusshabha glimpse tomorrow. The film, a Malayalam-Telugu bilingual, is slated to hit theatres on October 16, 2025. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film, which features an ensemble cast.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s latest release Hridayapoorvam, is currently running in theatres, despite Kalyani Priyadarshan-led Lokah reigning over cinema halls.
