Nagarjuna on his role in Coolie: Lokesh Kanagaraj asked me to walk like a tiger

Akkineni Nagarjuna is busy with the promotions of his new film Kuberaa, which is all set to hit the screens on June 20, 2025. Sekhar Kammula directs the film, which also has Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. Apart from that, he is also playing a key role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie.

Nagarjuna will be seen as one of the villains in the film and is super excited about his role and the film featuring Rajinikanth. Speaking to Bharadwaj Rangan, Nagarjuna stated that Lokesh wanted him to walk like a tiger while shooting his scenes.

"I felt a bit weird when Lokesh asked me to do that. But after watching the rushes, I could not believe that it was me on the screen," says Nagarjuna. The star hero goes on to add that it is not about box office numbers anymore for him.

"I have chased numbers for the last 30 years, and now it is only about doing the cinema I want and being part of big films in different roles. Coolie is one such film which will shock everyone, as my character is filled with whistle-blowing moments," adds Nagarjuna.

In Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa, Nagarjuna is playing a very different character and is equally excited about the film. "Sekhar has given me a role like never before. I was so excited to land on the sets every single day, as my character was so exciting. In Coolie and Kuberaa, you will see me in two contrasting roles, and my fans will love me in each of them," ends Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna on his 100th film

On the other hand, Nagarjuna has also locked his 100th film, and none other than Tamil director Ra Karthik will helm the project. We have also come to know that the film's title and teaser will be out on August 29, 2025, which also marks his birthday.
