Vikrant addressed the media as 'irresponsible' in both his posts. He also clarified not being a part of the movie. His latest Instagram story reads, " Ok. To put the rumours to rest. I never was a part of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan. The many media portals reporting about my supposed "replacement" should've done the requisite background check. Disappointing. Nonetheless, wishing everyone a part of the movie all the very best. Love."

How was Vikrant Massey's name linked to Ramayana?

Vikrant Massey's name was linked to Ramayana as there was speculation about the actor playing the role of Ravana's eldest son Meghanad/Indrajat. Variety India suggests that Raghav Juyal has been replaced for the role.

"The role was initially supposed to be played by Vikrant Massey, but things apparently didn't work out. Raghav was subsequently approached, and he immediately came on board. He is expected to start filming his portions once he has recovered from his injury," the portal quoted a source.
