Malayalam actor Joju George's directorial debut, Pani, was highly appreciated by both his fans and moviegoers. The action-packed movie received positive reviews, and the actor-director had earlier revealed that a sequel is planned. There have now been some significant updates to Pani's second installment.

Additionally, according to sources, this will not be related to the characters or the first instalment. The actor recently stated that Pani 2's scripting is finished and that filming preparations are underway. The actor added that the best technicians would work in this project, which will also feature a new cast. A trilogy was also promised by Joju George with Pani 3 in plans. The actor, who recently appeared in the Tamil films- Thug Life and Retro, announced on Instagram that filming for Pani 2 would start by the end of this year.

Sagar Surya, Junaiz V P and Tamil actress Abhinaya appeared in key roles in the movie, along with Seema, Prashanth Alexander, and Sujith Shankar in supporting parts. Pani is available for streaming on OTTplay Premium and SonyLiv.
The film centres on two young people attempting to thrive in the criminal world. They come across Giri and his family, the city's criminal bosses, when they embark on their first assignment. The plot of Pani revolves around the cunning pair's decision to utilise it as a chance to accelerate their ascent to the top in the criminal world. They must, however, deal with the fallout from dealing with a more bitter person.
The film's cinematography was done by Jinto George and Venu ISC. Sam C S worked on the background score, while Vishnu Vijay composed the soundtracks. Manu Antony was in charge of editing of Pani, which turned out to be a box office success following its theatrical release.
