Silambarasan's Pathu Thala, which was released on Thursday, opened to mixed reviews, but makers seem to be elated with the response from moviegoers. The team has now released a couple of photos from the success celebration they held in Chennai. Distributor Sakthivelan is seen garlanding Silambarasan. Director Obeli N Krishna, producer Gnanavel Raja and editor Praveen KL among a few are seen posing for the pictures.

With Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai, which was released yesterday garnering positive response, we'll have to wait and see how much Pathu Thala would collect from the box office in the long run. Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar, too, are seen essaying key roles in the film which has music by AR Rahman.

Gautham Menon, Redin Kingsley, Kalaiyarasan and Teejay Arunasalam play crucial characters in the movie which has cinematography by Farook J Basha. The film has been appreciated for its technical aspects while the screenplay and lack of intriguing character design have received backlash from critics.

Studio Green and Pen Studios have jointly bankrolled the project which will be released on Amazon Prime Video after a month. The digital platform had bagged its OTT rights a few months ago. The film was initially supposed to hit the screens in December, but makers decided to postpone plans owing to delay in post-production works.
