It was the role, however, that made Salman reject Rajat. "Tu yeh role nahi karega beta. Main tujhe kuch badhiya kaam dunga," he promised Rajat at the time. Thus, the actor believes that Salman was looking out for him and wanted to protect him.

"Salman bhai loves me. He has huge respect for me and my family. I'm from a third-generation film family. He loves my son also. Please yeh galat information spread karna bandh karo," Rajat had said, stating how Salim Khan has immense respect for his family and has always shared a warm bond.
