Young musician Sai Abhyankkar, who is in his early twenties and only four single tracks old, has already pocketed about seven films. While his four tracks have garnered good reception, it is surprising how he has been given a star-studded line-up of films with big names attached. While we are yet to hear his first movie album, Sai Abhyankkar, in a recent podcast, opened up about the opportunities he has been getting and navigating his way through the industry.

Sai Abhyankkar on bagging project next to next

Sai Abhyankkar, the son of singers Harini and Tippu, will be debuting as a music composer in the Tamil film industry. But the answer to which film might need a little more time, as the musician is currently officially committed to about seven projects. These include Suriya-starrer Karuppu, LCU film Benz, Shane Nigam’s Malayalam sports drama Balti, Atlee and Allu Arjun's big-budget creature feature, Marshal starring Karthi, STR 49, and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Diwali release Dude.

In a podcast with Sudhir Srinivasan, Sai Abyankkar was asked what his answer would be to those who think about how he is getting projects one after another, even before his first film release. The musician said that everyone he is working with are legends. "It is not just the audience who are wondering how I am getting big projects, even the big names I am working with would have thought of it as well. Almost everybody is linked in the industry and we know each other. It is networking. It is not influence, and I should first thank my first film's producer, Sudhan sir, who trusted me with Benz after the first song Katchi Sera,” he said.

Sai Abhyankkar’s line-up

Sai Abhyankkar was first announced as the composer in Benz starring Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly. However, his film Dude with Pradeep Ranganathan is gearing up for a Diwali release. Karuppu is also eyeing the same festival slot, while Balti will have an Onam release. Fans are quite eager to hear Sai Abhayankkar’s first movie album.
