Stephen, the 2025 Tamil film, which is part of the latest content slate of Netflix, is now premiering on Netflix. The serial killer saga has debutant Gomathi Shankar play the lead role, and directed by first-time filmmaker Mithun.

A while back, we had reported Netflix new content slate for Tamil and Telugu. Psycho thriller film Stephen was one among them. As the first release, the streaming platform premiered Stephen on Friday. The film stars Gomathi Shankar in the lead titular role, who has also co-written the film along with debutant director Mithun.

Stephen is now streaming on Netflix, in multiple languages. The film is about a serial killer who confesses to killing 9 young women and surrenders to the police voluntarily. But the film delves deep into the psyche of the killer, it also unfolds his disturbing past and what prompted him to turn this violent, even as he possesses a cam demeanour during the probe. Stephen also stars actors Michael Thangadurai, Smruthi Venkat, Vadivel, Shrisha, Harija, Vijayashree and others. Gomathi Shankar has also worked as the writer of Stephen along with director Mithun who marks his debut. Stephen is also the lead acting debut for Gomathi Shankar.

What else to watch on OTT this week?

Apart from Stephen, there are bunch of south releases that you can stream on OTT this week. There is crime drama series Kuttram Purindhavan which is headlined by Pasupathy. All seven episodes is now live on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium. There is also Malayalam horror drama Dies Irae starring Pranav Mohanlal and directed by Rahul Sadasivan. The film had received good reviews during its theatrical release and is now on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. Telugu film The Girlfriend, starring Rashmika Mandanna and directed by Rahul Ravindran, is a relationship drama. The movie is also available in multiple languages on Netflix.
