Young Malayalam actress Riya Shibu is on cloud 9 as her performance in the latest film Sarvam Maya has found appreciation from Tamil star couple Suriya and Jyotika. The stars have said they loved the actress’ performance as Delulu in the Nivin Pauly-starrer film, which was a resounding hit at the box office as well.

Sarvam Maya actress Riya Shibu took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share the delightful news that she has received a token of appreciation from actors Suriya and Jyotika. She also received a gift hamper with a personal note that said - "Loved your performance in Sarvam Maya, Riya. So natural, impactful and a joy to watch.”

While sharing their gift, a gleefully happy Riya also wrote on Instagram, “Thank you so much for taking away your precious time and effort to send me this hamper as an appreciation for Sarvam Maya.”

What is Riya Shibu's role in Sarvam Maya

Riya Shibu plays a Gen Z Ghost, called as Delulu by the film’s protagonist Prabhendu (Nivin Pauly). Prabhendu, an atheist, opts to engage in his family’s tradition of conducting rituals to make some money. However, after an attempt at exorcism, the spirit tags along with him. Though he is initially spooked by her presence, Prabhendu forms a good bond with her.

You can watch Sarvam Maya on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium in multiple languages of Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, apart from Malayalam. The film, a Christmas release, was a blockbuster hit, with the makers claiming an impressive collection of over Rs 150 crore.

On the other hand, Nivin Pauly’s latest film Baby Girl failed to recreate the success of Sarvam Maya. The actor’s new movie Prathichaya was announced on February 17, which is touted to be a political thriller directed by B Unnikrishnan.
