Tamannaah Bhatia is reportedly set to headline Ragini MMS 3, the next installment of Ektaa Kapoor’s cult horror franchise. Tamannaah, whose Aaj Ki Raat dance steps went viral from Stree 2, also has Vvan with Sidharth Malhotra and Rohit Shetty’s film starring John Abraham. Amid this, a report mentioned that the script of Ragini MMS 3 was dictated to Tamannaah on the sets of Vvan, and she was visibly stunned by it.

Pinkvilla reported that Ektaa Kapoor has been wanting to make the third part of Ragini MMS for a while now, and she has brainstormed several ideas to complete a trilogy. Now, she has finally got a subject that not only blends into the world of Ragini MMS, but takes things to another level with a potential rebranding into a new genre. The film is all set to go on floors towards the end of 2025.

The source further added, “Ektaa discussed the idea of Ragini MMS 3 with Tamannaah Bhatia on the sets of Vvan, and the actress was stunned by the horror quotient the film has to offer. The film also has scope for chartbuster music, and the team is on the hunt for a song that could take the nation by storm. Interestingly, Ragini MMS 3 will be the biggest film of the franchise and Ektaa is looking to rebrand the film as a horror comedy, breaking ties with the horror-erotica space of the earlier two films.”

For the uninitiated, the Ragini MMS franchise began in 2011 with Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala, followed by Ragini MMS 2 in 2014. The sequel is known for the popular chartbuster song ‘Baby Doll’ ft. Sunny Leone.

Notably, the makers are aiming to recreate the dance number, this time around with Tamannaah Bhatia. Apart from Ragini MMS 3, Ektaa Kapoor is busy with a mytho-thriller helmed by Anil Rahi Barve (Tumbbad fame).
