The film is helmed by director Aanand L Rai, who has earlier worked with Dhanush in films like Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re, marking his third collaboration with the actor. Tere Ishk Mein has screenplay written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. AR Rahman has scored music for the film.

A spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa, Tere Ishq Mein features Dhanush and Kriti Sannon as Shankar and Mukti respectively. After Mukti forges a relationship with Shankar while conducting PhD research on him, she cut ties with him and moves on. However, their past resurfaces when Shankar joins the Indian Air Force and the former lovers’ paths cross. Prakash Raj, Priyanshu, Painyuli, Jaya Bhattacharya, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and others are also part of the film. The film made a total global gross o Rs 155.15 crore.

What is Dhanush’s next film?

Dhanush, who predominantly works in Tamil film industry, has Kara in the pipeline. The film is directed by Vignesh Raja of Por Thozhil fame and is scheduled for summer 2026 release.
