Thaai Kizhavi box office collection day 10: Veteran actress Radikaa Sarathakumar headlines Thaai Kizhavi, which continues to march ahead at the box office, refusing to slow down even on its 10th day at the box office. Helmed by Sivakumar Murugesan, the Radikaa-starrer film made over Rs 5 crore on March 8, in an encouraging sign for woman-led movies on International Women’s Day.

The latest Tamil movie Thaai Kizhavi collected Rs 5.08 crore on its second Sunday at the box office, as per trade tracker Sacnilk. The Saturday collection of the Radikaa Sarathkumar film came up to Rs 4.5 crore, ensuring that Thaai Kizhavi became the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of the year with a worldwide collection of Rs 42.75 crore.

Thaai Kizhavi has already surpassed the lifetime collections of other Tamil hits of 2026 - With Love, starring Anaswara Rajan and Abishan Jeevinth, (Rs 38.9 crore) and Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, starring Jiiva (Rs 39.5 crore). Thaai Kizhavi is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark, but still has a long way to go before catching up with the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year Parasakthi, starring actor Sivkarthikeyan, which made Rs 100 crore. Interestingly, Thaai Kizhavi is produced by Sivakarthikeyan.

This is the second straight weekend that Thaai Kizhavi has performed well at the box office. Across languages, women-led movies seldom achieve impressive box office numbers despite critical acclaim.

The other latest Tamil film in the cinemas Kadhal Reset Repeat, which has been underperforming at the box office. The film, which stars Madumkesh, Jiya Shankar and Arjun Ashokan, made only Rs 0.50 crore in worldwide collections in three days after its March 6 release.
