Sundar C in Thalainagaram 2

The teaser of Thalainagaram 2, starring Sundar C in the lead, was unveiled a few months ago. The gangster drama evoked curiousity among movie buffs ever since the project was announced. Though the film is titled Thalainagaram 2, director Dhorai VZ had clarified earlier that this isn't going to be a proper sequel.

However, the character Sundar played in the 2006 release, Right, has been retained in this movie. This time around, he is more violent and deprived of humane qualities. The first part was helmed by Suraj. One of the highlights of the film back then was the role essayed by Vadivelu in it.

But the veteran comedian isn't part of Thalainagaram 2 and is promoted as an action-packed drama. Pallak Lalwani, Thambi Ramaiah, Prabhakar and Jaise Jose among others essay crucial roles in it. R Sudharsan and E Krishnasamy have handled editing and cinematography respectively for the project which has music composed by Ghibran.

Maniji has penned dialogues for the movie which has art direction helmed by AK Muthu and action scenes choreographed by Don Ashok. Director Dhorai VZ himself has bankrolled the film along with SM Prabakaran under the banner of Right Eye Theatres.

The makers have now announced their release plans. Thalainagaram 2 will hit screens in June, though they are yet to come up with the exact date. The Sundar C-starrer has thus joined the likes of Veeran and Maamannan which will also be released next month.
