The 2026 Telugu movie Ustaad Bhagat Singh starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, had witnessed a sharp decline in the box office numbers on the second day, despite the long Eid weekend observed. While the film made a nominal debut with Rs 34 crore (on Thursday), the first Friday collections were reduced to single digits, with Rs 9.25 crore earning only.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is a recently released Telugu action drama featuring actor and politician Pawan Kalyan in the lead titular role. The film is written and directed by filmmaker Harish Shankar who had earlier worked with the actor in Gabbar Singh.

On day two, as per the Sacnilk record, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has made Rs 9.25 crore only, showing a sharp decline from its first day collection of Rs 34 crore. It shows nearly four times fall from its initial earnings, indicating that the Pawan Kalyan starrer despite opening for Eid weekend, has not been able to resonate with audience. In addition, the film also had opportunity to take up screens that cancelled Dhurandhar 2 Telugu shows. However, with the weekend to go, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has chances to pick up.

What is Ustaad Bhagat Singh is about?

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is about the titular cop, who is fascinated by the ideas of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh as he grows up to become a fierce and straight-forward officer. A mass action drama, the story revolves around the principled cop as he fights injustice, inspired by his teacher’s ideals. However, when he must face a corrupt politician and gangster, the protagonist faces personal losses and setbacks.

Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also stars Parthiban, KS Ravikumar, Sreeleela, Raashi Khanna, Rao Ramesh and others. With music by Devi Sri Prasad and S Thaman, the film is shot by cinematographer Ayananka Bose, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Its post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix.
