Vaa Vaathiyaar, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Karthi in the lead role, was supposed to have hit theatres this week, has now been pushed by a week. A new release date has been confirmed by the makers, which will result in actor Krithi Shetty to have back-to-back films within a span of one week this month.

Vaa Vaathiyaar new release date out:

Vaa Vaathiyaar, the Karthi-starrer Tamil film, was scheduled to hit theatres this week, on December 5. However, the makers have not arrived on a release date, pushing the film by a week. Vaa Vaathiyaar will release on December 12. The announcement was made on Tuesday, while the third single is to be released very soon.

This means, actor Krithi Shetty who plays the female lead in Vaa Vaathiyaar, will have two releases in December in a span of one week. While Vaa Vaathiyaar is on December 12, her next film Love Insurance Kompany will be out on December 18 in theatres. Vaa Vaathiyaar will mark the first time Krithi Shetty will be working with Karthi. There was some criticism against the pairing, given the age gap between them is 26 years.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of Vaa Vaathiyaar has been bagged by Prime Video. OTTplay Premium subscribers would be able to watch the film after its theatrical run, through their existing plans after topping up with Prime Video. The film is shot by cinematographer George C Williams. Vetre Krishnan is the editor and DRK Kiran is the art director. Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music.
