The first poster for the upcoming Malayalam movie Varavu was released by the film's makers today (October 22). It provides a glimpse at Joju George's main character. Additionally, they have disclosed an update on the movie's theatrical release.

Similar to his roles in earlier films like Pani and Antony, Joju is depicted on the poster in a defiant temper. The movie's tagline, "Revenge is not a dirty business," is also revealed, hinting at a high-octane action flick directed by well-known filmmaker Shaji Kailas and starring the actor in lead role.

Sources claim that this mass entertainer, which has been set in the high ranges of Kerala, centres on Polachan, also called Poly, who garnered fortune through years of labour. The main focus of the movie is how he is forced to go back to his hometown which entails avenging long-standing grudges. The poster states that the movie will be released in 2026.

Cast and crew of Varavu

In this film, supporting roles are played by Murali Gopy, Arjun Ashokan, Deepak Paramabol, Sukanya, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Saniya Iyappan, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Biju Pappan, Bobby Kurian, Azees Nedumangad, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Ramesh, Balaji Sharma, Chali Pala, and Radhika Radhakrishnan.

A K Sajan wrote the script for the movie. He is also known for craeting the screenplays of some other hits directed by Shaji Kailas such as who is best known for writing Red Chillies, and Chinthamani Kolacase. Both these films are accessible to watch for OTTplay Premium subscribers. Shameer Muhammad serves as the editor and S Saravanan handles the cinematography for Varavu. Filming for Varavu is underway in Marayur, Kanthalloor, Kottayam, Theni and Munnar, and it will soon be finished. In September of this year, the makers started this film's production works.

It has been expected that Varavu will eventually be a box office hit for the director, whose previous film, Hunt, starring Bhavana, was met with mixed reviews in cinemas.
