Vikramaditya Motwane is concerned about the age of AI and heavy loss of employment. He looks at how AI could potentially replace human labourers thus pushing them into a corner.

The effects of AI on daily life have left many cautious about what can the technological advancement do. While a few look at it in positive light, many are cautious about it too. Vikramaditya Motwane, clearly siding with the latter, is hesitant to bring AI into life and especially into cinema. The filmmaker, who was a part of a round table interaction with The Hollywood Reporter, stated how he is not excited about the AI era because of the source where AI came from and how it is being forced into daily lives. For the uninitiated, AI is being introduced to Indian cinema and the trend began with Dhanush-Sonam Kapoor’s Raanjhanaa ending being changed. The same was heavily debated before the film’s re-release and continues to raise concern among those working in the profession.

Addressing what he's feeling like about the technological advancement and it affecting films, Vikramaditya felt that there’s a need for guidance when it comes to using AI. The filmmaker stated, "Everything is at the nascent stage and we need to put the values in place. We need to know beforehand if we should use AI. Ad films have already done that. If you start adapting those in feature films and say that AI will take over every job done by humans up to this point - production design, fashion designers and more - then you have that many labourers falling off a cliff."
The filmmaker does understand that the technology might take over the world eventually but he looks at it from the perspective of how it should not end up as a disaster to humans as a whole. "Eventually maybe it will happen someday, but what kind of guard can we put in place to ensure it will not be a disaster? As humans, there's a tendency that we use AI because we're lazy. I've heard people say why use an assistant when you have AI? As a human, if I cannot even teach somebody something then what am I even doing here?," Vikramaditya questioned.
Realizing he's among the minority when it comes to the round table, Vikramaditya refused to speak further on the subject. Dragon producer Archana Kalipathi called it a valid point and agreed that it will affect the making of films. Thus, she stressed at the importance of reskilling.
Rana Daggubati, who looks at AI in a positive light did state that it will affect many industries in various ways, but also came up with a solution for the same. "We just have to keep making a new product each day. If someone makes one product, then they will be affected," the actor shared, adding, "It will take away at least 30-40% of jobs, but create 10-20 different types of jobs."
