What is the story of The Bengal Files?

The Bengal Files is the story of how the state was affected during India's Partition. It was about Direct Action Day by All India Muslim League leader, Mohammad Ali Jinnah. The Bengal Files: Right To Life is the story of 500 Oriya (Hindu) workers who were butchered and burnt alive by Muslim League mobs at Kesoram Cotton Mills. The incident started The Week of the Long Knives. It marked the beginning of the partition of India, and the same started with Hindu-led West Bengal and Muslim-dominated East Bengal (now known as Bangladesh). The riots caused 4,000 deaths, and 1 lakh residents were left homeless in Bengal, all within three days.

The Bengal Files third after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files

The Bengal Files, initially titled The Delhi Files: The Bengal Story, is the third story after Vivek Agnihotri's The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. It began with The Tashkent Files, which questioned Lal Bahadur Shastri's demise. The Kashmir Files, on the other hand, addressed the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. The movie, released in India during COVID-19, was tagged controversial but led to screens being added because of the demand for the film. It eventually went on to become one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Both The Tashkent Files as well as The Kashmir Files are available on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium.
