War 2 and Coolie, which clashed at the box office, have been underperforming at the domestic box office. While War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, Coolie features Rajinikanth in the lead. After one week of release, War 2 has crossed Rs. 200 crore but is still behind Coolie.

War 2 box office collection update

War 2 continued its steady earnings at the box office. Its earnings in India increased by Rs 5 crore on its eighth day of release, taking its total earnings to Rs 204 crore, according to Sacnilk.

On Thursday, 21 August, the attendance rate in major cities of India for War 2 was low. The film had an overall 8.59% occupancy for its Hindi version.

While Chennai had the highest overall occupancy, at 17.75%, it was followed closely by Jaipur, at 15%, and Bengaluru, at 14.75%. Meanwhile, Mumbai, NCR, Pune, and Kolkata had an 8–10% mark.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth's Coolie earned as little as Rs. 6.25 crore on its eighth day of release, collecting a total of Rs. 229.75 crore so far.
