The coming-of-age musical adaptation, inspired by true events, revolves around the life of a 16-year-old teenager, Jamie (Max Harwood), as he overcomes prejudice, bullying and societal pressures to become what he has always wanted to - a 'drag queen' and grab the spotlight.
