Death Whisperer takes place in a remote village in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand, in 1972. When the sudden, bizarre death of a young girl rocks the quaint hamlet, everyone feels uneasy and on guard. Soon after, similar issues start occurring in the house of a Thai Chinese family of farmers, comprising the six protagonists: three sons, Yak, Yos, and Yod, and three daughters, Yad, Yam, and Yee.
When the first girl suddenly fell ill, she suffered from terrible agonies and mutations of the body before her stomach swelled like a balloon and she bled out of every orifice of her body to a gruesome death. When Yam falls ill, after the three daughters encounter a mysterious, ghostly lady on their way back from school, word is sent for the eldest son, Yak.
A hotheaded returnee from the army, Yak must race against time and the death whisperer, aka Tee Yod, to save his family from being claimed by an ancient evil. Though Yak has come back before Tee Yod had full reign over their house, the clock is ticking and time is spilling from his cupped, desperate palms. Whether Yam and the rest of the family survive the ordeal must be seen on April 10, for chills down the spine on a summer eve.
