Not just K-pop, but also the biggest boy band in the world — BTS — is currently serving in the South Korean military, yet they still manage to keep their fans, ARMY, entertained. In one of the most shocking revelations, BTS dropped a mysterious announcement with a website, www.mncrlogistics.com, on the morning of April 15, seemingly out of nowhere.
This was later followed by a cryptic teaser hinting at something ARMYs had seemingly forgotten to pick up. The teaser was filled with images of clouds on a conveyor belt, delivery slips, and more, stirring a wave of theories among fans for the MONOCHROME project.
However, when the photos of the members flashed and V's face came up, ARMY couldn't believe that the image resembled something Kim Taehyung had posted almost two years ago.
V posted the 'monochrome' photo of himself holding flowers almost as soon as he opened his Instagram account two years ago. ARMY started connecting the dots and was shocked to see how Taehyung had given a spoiler for the upcoming project years back. Fans flooded social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter) with posts talking about how smart V is.
At this point, it's anyone's guess, but ARMY is buzzing with excitement. While some believe it could be a teaser for a new OT7 album or song or some speculate it might be linked to a BTS pop-up store or the group's annual Festa celebration in June.
Fans have been expressing their anticipation on social media platforms like X, with hashtags such as 'BTS IS COMING', 'MONOCHROME IS COMING'
All seven members — Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jung-kook — are currently serving in the military.
Jin and J-Hope are fulfilling roles as drill instructors at military camp bases, while Suga is serving as a social service agent following his surgery. RM is stationed at the 15th Infantry Division, and V has been deployed to the ROK II Corps. Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook are reportedly serving in the 5th Infantry Division.
The group is anticipated to reunite by June 2025, with Jin and J-Hope set to complete their duties this year.
