For all those who have witnessed the delightful nineties era will surely not just remember the extremely popular chat show ‘Rendezvous With Simi Garewal’, but also will swear by it. What made the show stand out from everyone else was the fact that it was one show which was totally devoid of heavy-duty graphics, fights, controversies and other ‘elements’ required to make a show these days. Almost every topmost celebrity must have graced the show as its guest.

Added to that, the grace and the charisma that the show’s host Simi Garewal exuded on the show remains evergreen till date. Even though all the episodes of the show were memorable, there was one episode that really stood out. And that was the one with Aishwarya Rai (now Bachchan). Seeing the two graceful ladies on one screen was nothing less than a dream come true.

Simi Garewal's interview gets interrupted by a cockroach!

Recently, a video from the said episode has been making the rounds on the internet. The video shows that when Simi Garewal was totally engrossed talking to Aishwarya Rai and vice versa, their conversation was interrupted by a totally uncalled for guest- a cockroach!

Just as when Aishwarya Rai gets asked a question by Simi Garewal about her opinion on whether the beauty thing had taken over, the former beauty queen just starts her reply… only to be interrupted by the show’s host pointing out a cockroach! Simi Garewal, who tackles the situation in her trademark calm demeanour tells the production guys to take the cockroach out as “it was proceeding towards Aishwarya ji”.

On her part, Aishwarya Rai asks Simi as to who planted the cockroach there! To which, the show’s host (still maintaining her calm) replies that she has never seen a cockroach on the sets anytime before! And when the production guys clear the cockroach off the sets, Aishwraya Rai tells in her trademark style that, these guys have put the ‘ghoonghat’ on the cockroach with love and have cleared it!
