Echo will start streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on January 10, 2024 and stars Alaqua Cox in the lead alongside Vincent D’Onofrio.

After the Marvel Cinematic Universe 2024 roster went through a complete shuffle with chaos written all over it, the new lineup for the next year screams the studio’s new mantra, “Quality over Quantity”. While the big screen will only be graced by the studio once with Deadpool 3, the streaming world will have three IPs releasing. One of them is the most anticipated Echo, which is a unique experiment by the studio under their new banner Marvel Spotlight. We are now getting a new update on the show that is due January 10, 2024.
As per the latest update from a scooper known for sharing concrete updates most of the time, we might have gotten our hands on the plot of Echo that will stream on Disney+ and Hulu. The show will follow Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez being influenced by Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. The journey brings her home where she is made to confront her family, past, and legacy.
The scooper who goes by the handle Cryptic4KQual has shared the plot of Echo in a X post. "Echo, returning to her hometown, hides her criminal past while rediscovering her Native-American roots," they wrote. "The past resurfaces when Kingpin finds her and reveals the Black Knife Cartel, their former affiliation, is targeting them. Despite their current relationship, Echo and Kingpin must unite for survival."
So rather than being against each other, it seems like the two will join hands to take down a common enemy. While we are aware Echo will indeed gain superpowers in the course of the show, the post further adds, "The finale unfolds with Echo embarking on a fresh chapter as a private investigator in New York City. The concluding scene paves the way for the next phase of her journey, as Daredevil approaches her with a new case, seamlessly transitioning into the narrative of 'Daredevil: Born Again.'"
