The first season of the thriller features Kaushik Ganguly, Ditipriya Roy, Koneenica Banerjee, Arjun Chakraborty, and others. After its release, the show received fairly positive feedback from the audience and critics alike. Now, according to sources, the shooting of the second season will begin shortly.
Rajneeti delves into the family of a powerful politician Rathin Banerjee (Kaushik Ganguly) – MP of Rijpur. Rashi Banerjee (Ditipriya Roy) – daughter Rathin Banerjee – meets with an accident and loses her memory. As she starts remembering her life before the accident, she gets entangled in further mysterious events. Her stepmother Mallika (Koneenica Banerjee), her fiance Saunak (Arjun Chakrabarty), and others reflect layers and shades in their character. The first season has a cliffhanger ending after Rathin Banerjee dies of cardiac arrest.
Now, according to sources, OTTplay learns that Kaushik Ganguly will make a comeback in the second season as a different character. Besides, Roshni Bhattacharya, who is all set with Srijit Mukherji’s Oti Uttam, will play a key character. The shooting will start on March 2 and will take place around the areas in Odisha and West Bengal.
