Goldy Brar is a suspect in Sidhu Moosewala's murder and was involved in gang warfare. He had also made threats against Bollywood star Salman Khan and rapper Honey Singh.

The recent shooting incident suggested that Goldy Brar, a Canada-based gangster was shot dead in the US. Goldy was alleged to be the mastermind behind Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's death as well as is also connected to sending threats to superstar Salman Khan. However, according to the latest reports, the gangster is not dead and is still alive.
California's Fresno Police Department, on 1st May, denied the reports that Brar was one of the individuals who was involved in the shooting incident. Clarifying the same, Lieutenant William J. Dooley, in an emailed statement, said, "If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is Goldy Brar, we can confirm that this is absolutely not true."
"We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumor, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn’t true. The victim is definitely not Goldy," he added.
The two people who were attacked were not disclosed by the police. However, it has been reported that one of them passed away while the other was discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.
Goldy Brar is the prime suspect in the murder case of well-known Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The gangster has been associated with the world of gang warfare for a long time now. Brar hails from Muktsar in Punjab and belongs to a Police background.
Goldy was involved in Sidhu Mooseewala's death, which happened in May 2022. The singer was killed while he was driving his car in Punjab's town. Before Brar's confession of being behind Siddhu's death, Lawrence Bishnoi Gang was the suspect. Goldy admitted to his crime, in an interview with India Today and said, "He was an egoistic person. He misused his political and financial power. It was necessary to teach him a lesson, and he was taught one.”
