Hoichoi announced a series of shows, including Debashree Roy’s Chemistry Mashi and Chiranjit Charaborty’s Parnashavarir Shaap on September 2023 during its slate announcement of Season 7. Now, the platform has made a new announcement with 14 shows – some new, some from the previous set, and some, from Bangladesh. All of these shows are slated to release between April - September 2024.
In April, Hoichoi is set to announce Joydeep Mukherjee’s Advocate Achinta Aich which features Ritwick Chakraborty and Saswata Chatterjee. Surangana Bandyopadhyay will play an important character in the show.
OTTplay has reported that Swastika Mukherjee has collaborated with Sayantan Ghosal for a drama, Bijoya, which is based on the Jadavpur University’s ragging case in its article, Exclusive! Swastika plays the character of a mother whos e young son dies in his hostel soon after he gets admitted to an esteemed institution.
Besides, Swastika will also be seen in Ayan Chaktraborty’s Nikhoj. Tota Roy Chowdhury plays a key character in the show. Besides Nikhoj, the second season of Rajneeti, Noshtoneer, and Gobhir Joler Mach will also get dropped.
Paoli Dam will be seen in a show, Gutipoka. The series delves into the life of a woman who stands up after being wronged. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, it also features Sourav Chakraborty.
Debaloy Bhattacharya will present Bokabaksho Te Bondi which features Solanki Roy – an actress who gets trapped between reel life and reality.
Earlier, OTTplay reported that Gaurav Chakrabarty will be seen as the male lead in Hoichoi’s Best Of Bengal production, Parineeta. Directed by Aditi Roy, Debchandrima will play the female lead.
