While 2024 was widely heralded as the golden year for Malayalam cinema, 2025 promises to be even better. The film industry followed some of its best movies in 2024, including Manjummel Boys , Aavesham or Kishkindha Kaandam , with brilliant films like Identity and Rekhachithram in the first week of 2025 itself, and fans have been waiting for the latest Malayalam OTT releases every week.
It's little wonder then that films of younger Malayalam stars such as Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan, Tovino Thomas, Naslen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Prithviraj Sukumaran or even veteran superstars such as Mohanlal and Mammootty, that find their way to OTTs, are now watched by not just Mollywood fans.
