Trust Netflix to entertain its viewers. Maamla Legal Hai, the recently announced courtroom comedy web series, promises oodles of entertainment. According to the OTT giant, anyone looking for a lighthearted show with a great balance of humour, legalese, and fun should definitely watch Maamla Legal Hai. The show follows a gang of eccentric solicitors as they represent odd clients in odd situations before the fictitious Patparganj District Court.

Here are 3 reasons why you simply cannot miss streaming Netflix’s upcoming comic web series. Read on...

Ravi Kishan in a hilarious role

Ravi Kishan plays the protagonist in the series. He is the driven president of the Patparganj Bar Association, VD Tyagi, who hopes to become India's Attorney General. Because of their aptitude for jugaad, VD Tyagi and his vibrant group of attorneys—Nidhi Bisht, Naila Grewal, Anjum Batra, and Vijay Rajoria—earned the moniker 'legal eagles. Tyagi is a smooth operator who is driven to achieve his goals and is intelligent, astute, and shrewd. It is the first time that the popular Bhojpuri actor will play a lawyer on screen and he seems to have enjoyed doing it.

A humorous perspective on legal machinations

Viewers will get a taste of the intriguing situations that the firm takes on from the distinctive personalities in Maamla Legal Hai. As a team, they outsmart their competitors and add exciting twists to every case. These jugaadu, or unorthodox, lawyers use their quick wit and unusual strategies to hurl some unexpected courtroom punchlines. Some of their weird cases are based on genuine situations, such as a parrot that was placed on trial for using profanities.

A distinct fusion of humour and legal drama

The creators claim that a diverse range of lawyers—from youthful idealists to wise elderly pros—offer a fresh viewpoint about law in Maamla Legal Hai. In addition to creating relatable content that moves you, they work hard to get cases, recognition, and the coveted air-conditioned rooms. The show's courtroom scenes are guaranteed to make viewers laugh out loud and the bar elections will offer a humorous take on democracy by pulling inspiration from strange and weird real-life events.

In other words, a cunning attorney named VD Tyagi (Ravi Kishan) opposes the lambe haath (long arms) of justice. Ananya Shroff (Naila Grrewal), shown as an alumnus of Harvard Law School and a fervent supporter of justice, joins him. On the other hand, Sujata Negi (Nidhi Bisht), the original Didi, stands in the background. She only wants her own air-conditioned room and hasn't handled a single case yet. Not to be overlooked is Vishwas Pandey (Anant V Joshi), the court manager who likes to think of himself as Patparganj District Court's Donna Paulson—a reference to the astute secretary from the hit television series Suits. Rest assured, inka sirf coat kaala hai par dil nahi (only the coat that they wear is black, not their hearts).
