Actress Mrunal Thakur is currently basking in the success of The Family Star, in which she starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda. In a recent interview, she spoke about how heartbreak with reel characters is crazier than actual romantic heartbreaks.

Mrunal Thakur on her love with characters

Mrunal Thakur has made a name for herself despite tough competition in Bollywood and South Indian films. She has quickly risen the ranks thanks to her acting chops and a humble personality. During a conversation with a media outlet, Mrunal shared that she gets attached to her reel characters so much that it feels like heartbreak for her when the project gets over.

When asked to share the challenges of acting, Mrunal described the toughest thing for an actor is going back home to reality after the shooting for a film ends and feeling the void of reel characters. She also revealed that the magic only happens when you are in sync with your character.

"What is difficult is when a movie ends, and when you come back home, it feels like heartbreak. It’s like, I love those characters, and I’ll never get to be them. This heartbreak is actually crazier than an actual romantic heartbreak," Mrunal told Pinkvilla.

Mrunal Thakur on her favourite character

In the same interview, the Hi Nanna actress also revealed that her favourite character is Sita Mahalaxmi from the romance mystery film Sita Ramam. If there’s one character that she wants to be, it would definitely be Sita Mahalaxmi. Mrunal described how she often faces the difficulty of moving on with her characters, but she tries to do this because that’s part of the journey.

"The most difficult part is to move on, because for me, I have lived through those characters, and someone just told me that I need to leave those characters behind. I am trying to do so, and that is the toughest part," the Jersey actress further added.

On the professional front, Mrunal will be seen next in Navjot Gulati’s Pooja Meri Jaan, alongside Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz.
