Mukesh Khanna’s new Shaktimaan ‘Kaun’ post gets crazy suggestions from netizens – From Vidyut Jammwal, Ranveer Singh to Ranbir Kapoor

Mukesh Khanna has shared another post with Shaktimaan update after criticising Ranveer Singh as the titular character. In the latest post, the OG desi superhero has posed the big question about the next Shaktimaan. The social media post is swarmed by comments from fans who are suggesting who will ace the iconic role. Among the suggestions are Vidyut Jammwal, Ranveer Singh, Charan Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, and several other actors.

Mukesh Khanna’s “New Shaktimaan” post

Mukesh Khanna, who played the iconic role of Shaktimaan, had previously shared a post on his YouTube and Instagram handles to express disappointment over the rumors. For the unaware, Mukesh took to his social media accounts and said that Ranveer Singh cannot become Shaktimaan. He also took a sly dig at his image while citing the nude photoshoot.

In a new social media post, Mukesh shared a recent development informing about the casting that is still due and also confirmed that he will be updating soon. ‘Breaking News..Casting is not yet done, we will update you soon,’ a video post read.

Fans guess the new superhero

The post, which was captioned “#shaktimaan KAUN” (Who is Shaktimaan) is getting a huge response with different fan suggestions. Soon, netizens immersed themselves in the post with comments and a strong guessing game. While many netizens came in support of Ranveer Singh, some sided with Mukesh Khanna and lauded his supremacy for the beloved superhero.

One user commented, “Ranveer Singh is bigger than you and a much better performer; the way you insulted him wasn't good. This shows not everyone can have grace or class, in spite of being a childhood nostalgia.” Many supported Mukesh reprising the popular character with the use of VFX and special effects. Another commented, “Mukesh sir, you can play this role by yourself . If Rajni can be a hero at the age of 75+ then why you cant at the age of 64 . Rest VFX would take care about the rest.”

“The entire social media has been abuzz with rumours that Ranveer Singh is going to play the role of Shaktimaan. Everyone was upset about it. I was silent, but when the channels also declared that Ranveer has signed the film, then I had to break my silence. I said that no matter how big a star he is, an actor with this kind of an image can never play Shaktimaan,” Mukesh said in the video in Hindi.

Meanwhile, Sony had previously announced that it would be spearheading the film adaptation of Shaktimaan. However, more updates are awaited.
