We had earlier reported that actor Aadhi Pinishetty will be collaborating with director Arivazhagan for an upcoming horror film titled Sabhdam. The makers, on Friday, released the teaser of the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, on social media.

The teaser of Sabhdam does not give away the story of the film, and serves a bunch of montages from the film. Sabhdam seems to derive its horror element from sound. The protagonist is Aadhi Pinisetty who is seen recording some sounds at a haunted house. The house is also a witness to many eerie incidents. Without disclosing much, the teaser shows all the prominent actors from the film, some haunted while others tormented by a supernatural element.

It is to be noted that the upcoming film marks the second collaboration of filmmaker Arivazhagan and Aadhi, who have earlier collaborated in the critically acclaimed 2009 film Eeram. The film marked the directorial debut of the filmmaker and also belonged to the horror genre.

Besides Aadhi, Sabhdam also stars actors Lakshmi Menon, Laila, Redin Kinglsey, MS Bhaskar, and Rajeev Menon, and Simran in prominent roles. The sound horror film is produced by 7G Siva under the banner 7G Films, with S Banupriya Siva serving as the co-producer.

More about Sabhdam

Sabhdam was shot in and around Mumbai, Munnar, and Chennai. A 120-year-old library was constructed for the film as well. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. However, Sabhdam will have a summer 2024 release.

Sabhdam as music scored by S Thaman, and the cinematography is handled by Arun Bathmanaban. VJ Sabu is in charge of editing. Arivazhagan had earlier worked with Thaman on his previous films including Eeram, Vallinam and Aarathu Sinam. According to the makers, Sabhdam will be different from Eeram which was driven by romance and sentiments. The upcoming film is expected to have frightful elements to derive its horror.
