The first look poster of Samantha

Tamil movie buffs have been eagerly waiting for the first look posters of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal today as the team had earlier announced about the surprise they have in store for them. The movie, which features Nayanthara, Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi, has been directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.

When film lovers were expecting a poster which feature all the three stars, they surprised them by unveiling separate posters. The team had released Vijay Sethupathi's poster first in the morning. He will be seen as Rambo (Ranjankudi Anbarasu Murugesa Boopathy Ohoondhiran) in the film.

Now, they have released Samantha's character poster from the rom-com. She plays Khatija in the movie. Sharing the poster from her Twitter handle, the excited actress posted, "Khatija. Can’t wait for you’ll to watch this one (sic)." Vignesh Shivan, too, unveiled the poster with the caption, "Soo happy to be presenting the ever gorgeous @Samanthaprabhu2 as #Khatija in our film #KaathuVaakulaRenduKaadhal." It is expected that Nayanthara's poster, which is likely to be released later in the day, will be the last in the first look poster series.

There were reports that the movie will have a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar earlier this month. However, the makers remained tight-lipped about the same. Now, they have mentioned in the first look posters that the film will have a theatrical release in December.

It is expected that the final date will be finalized earlier next month. Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal has Redin Kingsley, Lollu Sabha Maran and Sreesanth among thers playing supporting roles.
